Rachel graduated from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California, with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Educational Counseling. She furthered her education at Liberty University, where she earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and is currently a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under the supervision of Beverly Taylor, LICSW-S. Client is also Level 2 trained in Gottman Method.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Rachel was raised with an appreciation for nature and its positive effects on mental health. Having lived all over the country as a military spouse Rachel gained a wealth of experience and insight into diverse communities. She has worked with individuals and families across various age groups, from preschoolers to geriatric patients at the end of life, addressing a wide range of needs along the way. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing -allowing her to tailor her methods to each client’s unique situation while focusing on their strengths and resilience.
As a military spouse and adoptive mother, Rachel brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the military community and those navigating the complexities of foster care, adoption, and caregiving for family members.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys gardening, decorating, visiting family, reading, traveling and taking long walks.
