April Morris

ALC, NCC, MA

A Message From April:

April is an ALC and currently working under the supervision of Cherie Dopson, LPC-S. She holds a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in client-centered and trauma-informed care, providing a safe and empathetic environment for her clients. April works with clients of all ages, including children (3+), teenagers, and adults. She has a passion for helping individual and families restore the pieces of their lives that feel shattered, hard, and difficult to understand.

April is passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. She enjoys helping people navigate life transitions and supporting them as they achieve their personal goals. April has experience working with various groups, including those involved in foster care, adoption, third-culture kids, college students, recent graduates, women in ministry, sexual assault survivors, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. In addition to counseling, April also provides coaching and training for those in full-time ministry and serving abroad.

Outside of therapy, April is known for her love of all things pink, grabbing coffee with friends, her adventurous spirit (with a gluten-free food plan always in tow), and for celebrating life’s milestones with confetti!
