"Life has a way of throwing challenges at us that can feel overwhelming. Sometimes these challenges make us feel frustrated, sad, disappointed, and anxious. While these obstacles and feelings are completely normal, they have a way of impacting our mental health. If you are looking for a change and are ready to start therapy, I am here to help you right where you are. Together we will set goals and work towards tackling these challenges at your own pace. Through this process, I hope to help you learn more about yourself and find your inner strength to face whatever comes your way. "
Ashley Carter MA, ALC, NCC, CCM, is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also a National Certified Counselor. She has experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, panic attacks, life transitions, and substance use disorders.
Outside of the office, I like to be with loved ones as it is a way for me to reset my focus. I also enjoy baking, hiking, listening to music, and going on adventures with my husband. On the weekends, we often like to take our dog to the dog park and on new walking trails. For self-care I love to go on walks, meditate, watch netflix, meet up with loved ones, and of course take an occasional nap.
Ashley currently takes Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Cigna, American Behavioral, Viva, Medicaid, and cash pay clients. You may contact her at email@example.com.
