Melba Holloway, Ed.S., LPC, is a former School Counselor with over 10 years working with families and children in the Birmingham area. Melba graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2008 with a Master’s in School Counseling and in 2011 with an Educational Specialist degree in Counseling. In addition to working as a school counselor, Melba worked as a therapist at the UAB Community Counseling Clinic and as a contract therapist. Melba is a licensed professional counselor. Melba is interested in social justice topics, advocating for women and children, helping and supporting parents, and walking with clients through the tough times in life. Personally, Melba enjoys gardening,traveling, cooking, watching basketball, and especially playing with dogs. Holloway is experienced in helping clients through transitional issues, trauma, anxiety, grief, divorce, loss, and interpersonal relationship concerns.
